An Outbreak of Flu Virus

Scientific Federation took initiative in the field of Flu science by introducing journal in the year of 2017. Our main intention is to support and promote a high quality comprehensive evidence-based on the recent research from the highly qualified authors. We received an article from Prof. Giulio Tarro based on his research interest in flu viruses.
Commonly flu is an illness that you get when you catch influenza varies widely and depends on the person who got infected by the virus, secondary bacterial infections and other medical conditions, age and a weakened immune system also play a big part in how much the flu virus will affect the host. The flu virus can infect both the upper and lower respiratory tract, which in part explains its ability to cause severe disease. Inflammation which is a part of the body's immune response is a normal response that allows our body to fight infection and heal damaged tissue. Paradoxically, this too much inflammation makes the illness from flu worse by causing more swelling and tissue destruction.
An epidemic occurs when an infectious disease spreads rapidly to many people. For example, in 2003, the severe acute respiratory syndrome is a respiratory illness that first infected people in parts of Asia, North America, and Europe. it took the lives of nearly 800 people worldwide. The history of flu viruses teaches that influence originates from birds, usually aquatic, then it is transferred to man through the leap into pigs. The promiscuity of the herds facilitates this transition and then it spread. Three pandemics caused by influenza A viruses, which occurred in the 20th century, have all had this origin: the ‘Spanish flu’ (1918, H1N1), the ‘Asian flu’ (1957, H2N2) and the ‘Hong Kong flu’ (1968, H3N2). The 2009 H1N1 influenza virus acted during the winter in Australia and New Zealand yielding a pattern effect for the treatment of patients during the winter in the Northern Hemisphere.  The performance  of rapid  diagnostic test for  the detection  of novel  influenza  A  (H1N1)  virus was evaluated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It is very important if research could yield a universal long-lasting, safe and effective vaccine against influenza in order that the annual frenzy of action against influenza would be transformed into an efficient, long-term prevention program.

HDFx- A Potential Fighter against Cytokine Storms

Scientific Federation took initiative in the field of Flu science by introducing journal in the year of 2017. Our main intention is to support and promote a high quality comprehensive evidence-based on the recent research from the highly qualified authors. We received an article from Prof. Burton M. Altura based on his recent research work on HDFx: A Novel Immunomodulator and Potential Fighter Against Cytokine Storms in Viral Flu Infections.

The first significant step towards preventing from flu was made by Jonas Salk and Thomas Francis after it was discovered that viruses that is mainly types of influenza virus A, B, and C rarely cause flu. This built on work by Australian Frank Macfarlane Burnet, who showed that the virus lost virulence when it was cultured in fertilized hen's eggs. This Application was observed by Francis who allowed his group of researchers to develop the first influenza vaccine, with support from the U.S. Army. It was first utilized to protect the U.S. military forces against the flu when the Army was deeply involved in this research due to its experience of influenza in World War.

Numerous pathophysiological responses, in the body, take place after infection by flu viruses. The classical clinical signs are high fevers, coughs, headaches, muscle and joint pain, and severe fatigue. The lungs become severely inflamed, by overproduction of a host of mediators, i.e., cytokines or chemokines, can cause severe tissue damage and hemorrhages, followed by death. It must be noted, that surgically-operated hospitalized patients are often at great risk for developing influenza infections which result in severe “cytokine storms”.

A new host-defense factor was discovered and termed as “HDFx”, that is a conserved protein found, so far, in rats, mice, guinea-pigs, rabbits, dogs, and subhuman primates. “HDFx” as being a protein molecule that possesses such vasoactive properties that manipulates the microcirculation and curtails bleeding, even in the lungs. After many great experiments in the laboratories it is clearly shown that it is protective to varying degrees against a variety of systemic bodily insults, ranging from hemorrhage, trauma, combined injuries, endotoxins, a variety of lethal bacteria. A unique attribute of “HDFx” is its ability to protect against cytokine storms and it will induce a “supercharged effect” in macrophages, NK cells, lymphocytes, Kupffer cells.

“HDFx” is a biologic host-defense protein may provide a unique way to ameliorate and prevent the “cytokine storms” and hemorrhages in severe influenza infections.

Exploring into Flu and Pneumonia

About journal: Scientific Federation took initiative in the field of Flu science by introducing journal in the year of 2017. As Flu is caused by many viruses like A, B, C. But in this only type C will effected to respiratory system which leads to many diseases like Pneumonia asthma, shortness of breath, bronchitis, air obstruction etc, these are very dangerous  diseases for  humans. It is caused by the family Orthomyxoviridae and is characterized by fever, respiratory symptoms, and it killed about 20 million people between the year 1917 to 1919. Different types of flu like contagious, epidemic, immune system, infection, mutate, vaccine, virus, zoonosis, etc., symptoms of Flu are cold, cough, vomiting, rashes, dryness, skin problems and fever, etc.,
We have a strong editorial board. We have 19 active editorial board members in our flu journal and one of them is chosen as well qualified as assigned as an editor in chief of the board. Here we have some affiliations and research fields of editors: California Southern University, research interests are Biophysical Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Biomolecular and Vibrational Spectroscopy, Molecular Modeling and Structure, Theoretical, Computational and Mathematical Chemistry, Ab initio and Density Functional Methods, Massachusetts General Hospital, USA. Research interests involves designing, synthesizing, characterizing, and evaluating the efficacy of these nano-platforms in cell culture, as well as animal models of the disease. The Board of Family Medicine.  The expertise in the research of immunology and molecular virology. Microbial Biotechnology from Dibrugarh University, India. research focused on Microbial diversity, biopesticides and bioprospecting of microbial resources including endophytes for sustainable utilization which includes microbial secondary metabolites, bioactive compounds, antimicrobial agents and fight against multidrug pathogens as well as opportunistic pathogens.
We will maintain the article tracking system after get the article we will forward to the respective author after updating in our tracking system authors will get Manuscript ID and password.
After getting the article we will assign very well active reviewers for their valuable opinion about that particular article. If there is any major or minor corrections are found we will forward to the respective author to get modified article. To review the article that process will take 21days and we have got 4 articles. We accept all types of articles like research article, review article, opinion article, case report, article, Editorial article, Short communication article and Case report article.
